Last year Jewish Care launched a family violence poster campaign to coincide with the festival of Tu B'Av.
This year we are pleased to launch a new series of videos to accompany the poster campaign.
With a focus on colourful and nostalgic imagery to echo the 'love bombing' that commonly occurs in abusive relationships, the campaign aims to highlight some of the less visible forms of family violence and encourage help-seeking. Linking the videos to Tu B'Av was a conscious choice, as a reminder that relationships should feel safe, loving and equal.
The videos take on extra importance in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, with the risk of family violence increasing and lockdowns forcing women and children to remain in close confines to perpetrators.
The videos have been launched across Jewish Care social media on the three consecutive days leading up to Tu B'Av (Wednesday 5 August), which is today!
We are pleased to provide you with the links below. In addition to the video launch, the original campaign posters will be re-released with the opportunity for organisations to co-brand materials with their own logo. Posters will also be available in Russian and Hebrew language.
You are more than welcome to share this video series.
