Come meet the girl behind the face

We are privileged to be hosting all the way from Hong Kong, MUI THOMAS and her parents TINA & ROG.  You're invited to come meet them and hear their incredible story of compassion, tenacity, courage and resilience.

Wed, 26 Feb, 7:30pm at Elwood Shule.
Please let us know you're coming here: www.elwoodshule.org/mui
Donations at the door to support Access Inc - Celebrating Abilities.

Tina is the birth-granddaughter of a Jewish Holocaust survivor and the mother of a daughter with a rare, appearance altering disease. Tina's birth-family were Polish Jews. She was raised in the protestant church by her German grandparents.

Rare disease doesn't come with a manual. As parents we have one responsibility: find the courage to be and remain positive. Because our lives have not been entirely uneventful.

Visible difference is repeatedly met with impulsive compassion, enabling and presumption by the general public, decision-makers and professionals. This can cause irreparable damage. The Girl Behind The Face is a global family initiative to raise awareness of Visible Differences, Commitment and Cyberbullying.

I hope you are able to attend this unique evening. You're encouraged to invite family and friends.
