We are coming to Melbourne from London from 9th December 2019 to 03 February 2020 – (myself, my husband and my 13 year old daughter), to spend time with my parents (my father has Parkinson's and is deteriorating rapidly). We have arranged a house swap with someone in South Caulfield for three weeks (December 24th to January 14th), but we are looking for accommodation for the rest of the time. There are too many carers now in my parents small house for us to stay there. Our first preference would be to stay near my parents in North Carlton (last time we came, we kashered an Airbnb flat half way between my parents and the East Melbourne shul, and I have plates stored at my parents). However, the closest we seem to be able to find this time for a reasonable price is the CBD area, which is neither near my parents nor near the Jewish areas.
So before we booked in the CBD we wondered if there was anybody out there who was going away for the summer who might want a house sitter (or who wanted a swap for a very large (6/7 bedroom) kosher (glatt, but not chalav yisroel) house in Hendon, London (in the depths of winter! but not for the dates 24 December to 14 January, and which during most of the time comes with my 17 year old son, who is studying and only able to join us over the school holidays).
